Random Thought Thread

Extremely effective, especially on your own dogs, cats, etc. It needs to be somewhere that only the coyotes can get to, which will probably be tricky.

I have the impression that the stuff tastes like Mountain Dew, but I'd rather not find out.
Effective but very cruel death. I would ask that if anyone is going to kill animals, to not do so by indiscriminately causing organ failure. Predator calls and shooting the coyote culprits is much more humane. Just my .02

Most is still ethylene glycol and people still use it to poison cats/dogs all the time.
From what I can find, the manufacturers started adding a bittering agent over 10 years ago so that animals aren't attracted to it, and many if not all the states require it by law. But maybe there's ways around it.

And a sad thing for cats is that they only need a small amount, so little that they can die from licking paws while trying to clean them after stepping in it. A friend of mine had her dog poisoned last year.

I just read an article from last year by a veterinarian stating that as many as 90,000 dogs are killed every year in the United States from antifreeze poisoning. There is also no evidence to show that the embitterment added to the antifreeze makes it less tasty for the dogs. Accidents will happen, but intentionally causing suffering to an animal is just bullshit to me.
As I told a group of drunks forcing an armadillo to repeatedly swim in a fast flowing creek ‘either kill it or let it go’. I just hate seeing suffering- human or animal. Rant over!

We can hang out, B.

I mowed the lawn today. Hot as hell outside. Would not recommend.
I mowed today and it was nice, the humidity was lower than it has been, didn't think about the garden hose or coyotes! I did think about beer though.

Just finished up for this week... 94F with 43% humidity.
