One of the unsung benefits of aging seems to be the ability to get a buzz off of less alcohol. Or maybe it's just a contact high.

Does anyone even still know what that is? (It was a thing in the 60's. And with good reason.)

I know what a contact high is. I experienced it every single day I went to work. 😆 OK, well, that might be taking it a bit too far, but I know you know what I mean.

The worst was 55 gallon drums of guava pulp and cocaine we seized and had to be around for the chain of custody when the guys from the lab tested and extracted the dope.

The smell was horrendous. It got in your clothes, your hair, your skin. (I still can't be around guava.)

Check out the magistrate's name. LOL.

Darn Tough socks are amazing. Buy once, cry never. literally you will have as many pairs as you buy until the company puts its wiener in the dirt.

lifetime replacement unconditionally. I'm TRYING to wear them out to no avail.
They really are great socks.
I stalk a few different sites for any to show up in clearance/outlet, and buy when they do show up. Pretty much all I buy other than a pair of smartwool here and there.
I have been able to wear a couple pair “thin” in the heal and toe section. I have not worn an actual hole through any. I’m sure I could get those replaced if I wanted. Both of those are hiking socks and have been subjected to multi day hikes where they were called upon to be worn consecutive days, doing about 15 miles a day with a fairly heavy pack. The sand and dirt that gets in your boots will wear them a bit. This didn’t happen after one multi day hike. I’m talking years of wearing to get to that point.

I buy the military surplus ones off eBay. I think they have a higher nylon content and as long as you don’t mind the limited color palette they are awesome.

There seems to be an unusual amount of bucks born recently around here. I saw a group of 11 young earlier in the spring (with two babysitters the group was 13) and 8 of the 11 were (button) bucks. In years past the female young have always been more numerous than the males. 2:1 easily.

Not a great picture but that is two males and one female.

That's good to see. In our area, Fish & Game estimates there was 90% fawn mortality this Spring.
