Random Thought Thread

well, we're all packed up and ready for a couple nights of camping. Heading out in about an hour
I've spent the past week going through all our camping shit, organizing it and loading up the wagon. Bought a new tent the other day...stoked!
although we've done a lot of family camping in the past, the recent several years, not so much. Going to make a change and start making camping part of our regular family life

CPKs coming with; FK2, HDFK. Also, North Sword- just because

Yep, the BFK scales are a bit flatter. Burke's pic shows it, as well as Dylan's OP in the BFK thread:

Sorry, folks - I did not see a dedicated BFK thread, aside from sale threads and a couple of review ones. If there is such a thread and I missed it, please let me know and I will have this one merged. In my mind, this knife feels a lot different than the FK2 - enough that I feel it warrants...

Nathan's preorders are pretty selfish and have real world -ve consequences at the expense of quick-buck profiteers! Case in point, the one on the Big Auction Site which was listed at almost 1K was on my watchlist just for sh*ts and giggles and low 'n behold I just received a 25% off (eBay push notice) offer from its seller, so I can have that one for ~ $750 and of course, I will have to pay sales tax on top of that sum which is 7.75% where I live. So let's see, a PJ BFK for ~ 800+ smackaroos or this: $305 (base) + $115 (FK3 upgrade) + $150 (satin) + $150 (carpet strip board) + $20 (Ti) + $14 (S&H) = $754, which is still less for a lot more knoiyfe!

Nathan, you are a very bad selfish lad!

Quick late night observation: the number of posts translating into actual orders in today's BFK / FK3, have already surpassed the number of claimed posts in the Shiv preorder thread. I am not terribly surprised because the base price is less than 1/2 of that of the base Shiv with BFK being a more practical pattern, but then again the Shiv was a legend and a myth with almost 5+ years (maybe 7?) till it made its 2.0 comeback! I have not counted but I think that the numbers surpassed 350 quite a while ago.

Nathan, you're gonna need a bigger boat!
