Random Thought Thread

I like green grapes and I prefer them to the red or black varieties. However, I've noticed that the green grapes that I buy these days from the likes of Costco, Trader Joes, sometimes at larger chain supermarkets like Albertsons and Ralphs have become quite colossal in size! WTF has happened to farmed green grapes? They are now the same size or even bigger than some of those larger size stuffed green olives!

Sadie approved......Hey Mike!
That is actually some really, really, fine Tequila, that Jo brought out. Sadie approves.

Hi Marc!
Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

I received a little preview of what is going to be on the table, Sunday. It’s pretty much incredible. Satin finishes, hollow grinds, hollow ground clips, custom grinds, very fine handles. Depending on how the selection process works, I think that the main problem will be choosing what one likes, as opposed to the whole table. I personally really liked everything that I saw. Like Marc, I kind of just wanted to upend the table in to a big soft box (no nicks and dings) and take the whole thing home. Lots to look forward to!

Can someone please take a photo of all of the knives, before the feeding frenzy happens?

Arggg Mike ... I was sad that I couldn't make it to meet all the great people (yeah I'll even include Nathan in that) and sad that I couldn't make a fool of myself in the outlaw chop ... BUT now you go and tell me that Jo brought out good tequilla too?

Hi JJ. I’m sure that I’ll make a big enough of a fool for both of us!🤣. Mike

I am sure that Nathan will chronicle this event and complement it pictorially, including the all important main event: inventory display!.

Looks like we have about 30 very choice blades prepped already

Nice! I don't know how many CPK'ers are attending but as long as everyone is prepared to splurge a little, every single person should be able to go back home with at least one choice CPK.

We have at least 30 wild satin customs and I'm getting into the standard tumbles now. We're probably going to have 40 or 50 knives here this weekend

It only took me ~ 7 1/2 years to hit that top number. Don't mind me, please carry on!

The picture is from an experiment where they made a scaffold seeded with cartilage and then implanted it under the mouse’s skin. The mouse being an incubator/greenhouse for the ear to grow in.
