It can't just be us. I would have to think every warm breathing mammal in the woods. Deer, coyotes, fox, bear. It has to irritate any and everything. Why would they do that? What purpose is served? Why???

They were really bad down by the creek for a few weeks this summer for some reason. Never noticed them before and haven't noticed them since. But for a few weeks, I had to wear ear plugs TO KEEP THEM FROM FLYING IN MY EARS
