No idea what the current situation is. But there was a couple of well dressed guys, clean haircuts. Taking pictures of the property.

They weren't driving something in the police motor pool. Unless they acquired a VW SUV(?)

I imagine if they don't have any family around with room that they'll have to get a long stay motel (or hell on earth as I like to call em) which is a nightmare with the pricing the way it is now. Do they go to church? Maybe someone in their congregation will end up helping em out for a while.

As for the dudes. If they didn't look like cops they might've been the insurance people assessing the damage... depending on what information the fire dept got it might also be arson inspectors (I doubt that though.. it'd have to be in question I'm pretty sure.. but don't really know that for a fact).

Nothing on the local news. Not a peep. It was a major emergency response last night from about 9pm until 3am. The place was boarded up extra quick. No police tape but some caution tape. This was an easy cherry pick for the news to sell ad placement. But nope. Quiet.

You can never think something was an accident. Not in Killeen, Tx. No telling what really happened. Just another, 'kitchen fire'.

It is always a possibility. People burn down their houses for insurance money all the time. Not saying they did of course but the I'm sure officials don't care either way.

That's honestly why I'm not in law enforcement.. also why I didn't go straight to fire fighting after the Navy.. I feel like if I did I'd be suspicious of people being shady 24/7.

Being in law enforcement. You're lied to so much. Honesty becomes rare. Everyone loves a Firefighters. Paramedics. Police? Making it a reason, cops tend to have only cops for friends.

My spider sense says the fire is getting played low key because the real reason would flip people out. Or allow a suspect to think it worked.

I was just thinking, CPK'er option;

Instead of "cleaning your shotgun/guns" when the BF first comes over, the CPK version will be sharpening the entire CPK collection 😅

Should go over well, when you make eye contact without stopping your SSSSSSKKKK, SSSSSSSSKKKK, SSSSSSSSKKKK, especially with a K18/K20, and another dozen CPKs on the bench/table. Shave a little arm hair, make eye contact, "Not quite sharp enough... I like 'em sharp enough to circumcise a gnat..." SSSSSSKKKK, SSSSSSSKKK...
