So my wife says "let's not buy each other anything for Christmas this year , we'll get a new mattress and that will be both of our Christmas gifts"

I agree while immediately thinking to myself

So I purchased her a gift (thinking there would be a sneak attack on her end of giving me a gift" ....... some how she found out I bought something and mentioned how we weren't supposed to buy anything

I froze and thought to myself


Well played wife..... well played

I will win one of these mental matches some day

if you hadn't purchased anything, she would have been the one to break the rule then wonder why you didnt catch some formerly insignificant ''clue'' that she ''gave you''.....

Yoko and Timmy are spot on! I thought I won once......sure that I won, in fact! Turns out I lost, eventhough thinking about it, and was still sure that won.......turns out I still lost......😕

.....even looking back now, in my mind it seems like I won......nope still lost!!! 😆
