We stayed at the archway Inn. Nice other than the fact that we could hear everything in the rooms around us. Our neighbor in the next room sneezed 3 or 4 times and my wife rolled over in bed and asked what was wrong and why I was sneezing so much! Not great lol

We went to check out some Indian ruins that aren't very well known (see old pic from a trip a few years ago, below) and we checked out Funnel Arch and catacomb rock.

We wanted to offroad through onion creek, but it was frozen. That's not one you want to do alone when it's iced up.View attachment 2458733View attachment 2458732
yup. let's just carve it into a cliff

Just found out one of the guys I’ve gone riding with in the past wrecked his sled this weekend and he’s paralyzed waist down. Doctors say there’s only a 1% chance he’ll ever walk again.
Very sorry about your buddy. I hope he proves folks wrong and recovers.

It is fun being out there, but accidents happen so quickly. We get many sled accidents up here and they generally are not great. I had a patient who clipped a tree passing her husband who was going 120.

Yeah it sucks when it happens. There’s a reason I don’t go 90 up the side of mountains anymore.

The guys highmarking and trying to outrun avalanches are just plain nuts. I snowmachine to get to/from my cabin with a wide track utility machine and usually pull a 10’ crossfox sled so I usually am putzing along.

I sincerely hope your buddy surprises everyone. Truly devastating…..
