The Infinite Monkey Theory involving typewriters makes more sense. If a monkey could speak words at random given enough time it would eventually recite Romeo and Juliet exactly as it was written by the Bacon Society er... William Shakespeare

Things that I didn't even know existed till last night! Attachment Space Usage 68% & Disk Space Usage 27%... OK, I have some space left but tried to purge some old stuff in my own tally to free up space which I found to be a tedious process because it seems to accept one at a time then defaulting back to the first page (I started from the oldest). Haven't looked in the Technical sub yet this AM to see if there are any more directives from Spark. I am planning on posting quite a few knives in the FS sub (none CPKs) so I am a bit concerned because my old IMGUR (free version) doesn't seem to work so I will have to attach from my Mac.
What kind of problems are you having with Imgur? I don't pay for it and it still seems to work fine. I just use their web app on my PC and their mobile app on my phone.
"Helpful"I just got a, “Really?” at which point I said I had to get over to another property and left.
Thistle seed sold as bird feed is supposed to be cooked/roasted to prevent sprouting. Russian thistle is invasive in much (maybe all?) of the country, and therefore viable seed is not supposed to be sold, especially as bird feed.Just had a meeting with a building administrator and representative of lawn care company I hired for the property last year.
The administrator is not satisfied with weed control. Suggested lawn care company wasn’t spraying courtyard last year. “Weeds are already coming up!”, lawn care rep trying to defend his company but agrees there are a lot of weeds sprouting in courtyard.
I suggested they get rid of the multiple bird feeders. They both look at me confused. So I go further and say those bird feeders have thistle seed in them. They continue to look at me confused. So I add that the weeds that are sprouting are thistle.
I’m an electrician.
Because that thread is locked. Many people are already running into this issue. I'm personally not deleting anything yet, until we know the final decision on all this. I am so far over the number/data attachment quota...I can't delete the attachments off the old Carothers Buy/Sell/Trade thread
Someone please post the picture of Stallin making the heart symbol with his hands in response to this. it will be worth it I promise

But now you can really reign over them!I did qualify that story at the end by stating that I am an electrician.
Never claimed to be a plantologist.![]()
Damn. But now you can really reign over them!![]()
He wouldn't have used inordinate twice in the same paragraph. What were you thinking?Damn.
I don’t want this to sound mean but I was expecting more out of you.
I was hoping your rebuttal would have been along the lines of…
“Well the birds are likely also eating seeds off of live thistles. They are then spending an inordinate amount of time hanging out at the human provided smorgasbord. They are also shitting an inordinate amount of time in that area. So it wouldn’t be extraordinary to see a radiating pattern of thistles around a bird feeder regardless of the type of seed in the actual feeder.”
I would have conceded this point but then told you how I looked into it further and it turns out this property is getting their bird seed off the Amish black market, and although the Amish are adept at some forms of sterilization they are not when it comes to sterilizing seeds… on account of the poor quality of their microwaves.
It seems wasted now.
