We got a little Alexa speaker for my son for his room for music when he was little. When I found out what it was, and it started talking back to me, it’s been sitting unplugged on top of my gun safe ever since.

At least there is a button on them to turn off and mute the microphone, and then you can control the music with your phone Alexa app.

Consider that a bunch of unelected politicians at Google and Amazon are the ones programming the AI...

I think the scary one was reading about a court case where they deposed Alexa records, and discovered that Alexa records ALL THE TIME.

They literally had reams of pages of transcripts from years worth of recording everything said in the house, to their servers.

Evidently you can request copies or transcripts of the recordings Alexa takes. I recall reading about a German fellow who did so, but received hours of recordings from some other household.

Apparently the guy could tell because he was single and the recordings clearly exemplified a couple/family interacting with one another.

I unplugged Alexa. You might consider doing the same.

seems to me that most people these days would be better served by a saddle mounted neurolink than one which is meant to go where the brain should be
