I have owned 2 Silverado’s and currently a Yukon with no issues at all. I love the 5.3 and the GM transmissions are very smooth. It is strange seeing the current issues with the most bullet proof trucks like Toyota right now.I've never owned a GM vehicle.

I grew up with Toyotas in Latin America and still love old Landcruisers. My wife LOVES her 4Runner.I think it was a lingering holdover from when I was growing up. My father seemed to have some sort of issue with GM...I simply inherited it.
I've owned Plymouth, Datsun, Mazda, Acura, Ford and Toyota. My Eddie Bauer edition Explorer was very comfortable, but the 4WD absolutely sucked. I'm much happier with the less posh 4Runner Trail Edition Premium.
Aerosmith canceled their farewell tour completely, due to a lingering vocal injury to Steven Tyler......the end of an era...makes me sad.....
