Someone offers to trade X for Y. I show them pictures of Y. Then they say they don't want Y. Many such cases.
 
This a hay bale that I just bought for $10 (sitting in the back of my long bed F250) to use as a back stop for throwing those Spyderco throwing knives that I also just bought . . .

. . . and this pic is also illustrates why I keep my F250, even though I hardly ever drive it, because when I do need the truck to haul something, having the truck handy beats the heck out of needing to run to a U-Haul site in order to rent one. ☺️

PS: The hay bale is much bigger than it looks in this pic. I'll try post another pic later that gives a better indication of its size relative to the 8 ft bed.

I haven't done the lengthwise grinds in a while.

I was using A2 a lot back when I originally developed this process. A2 grinds pretty good. 3V is a different animal and this is slow going.

Three thoughts come to mind looking at that post:

1) Beautiful grind work, especially going way back on the fuller. Man that is a lot of slow tedious hand labor…😬

2) I am convinced that it is solely Casinostocks Casinostocks fault that we don’t have a pre-order for the EDC 1.2 is because he is tying up all of Nathan’s precious time on this totally awesome selfish vanity project…😩

3) When you see a picture of a man’s forearm with all the hair shaved off, he either must be a knife maker or a Chippendale dancer. And Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist is not the latter…😁

Looking forward to seeing more photos when this beauty is done.
