Shouldn't be that expensive, I've deleted my fair share of super duties and rams and they're usually around 2-2.5k depending on if you buy the lifetime support pack with all the tunes or a single tune. I know the '22's require a '21 and down engine controller since they are encrypted but wasn't sure if they've moved passed that cause they're deleting '23-'24's now.

Magna cut is going to catch this even worse. It is a fantastic outstanding steel, but it is tempered so low that many, perhaps even most, makers and manufacturers are going to burn the edge sharpening it. There's going to be so many people doing a bad job of magna cut (grinding it to shape and also sharpening it) that I predict it is going to suffer some pretty bad blows to its reputation due to the incompetence of manufacturers.

Hey does anyone happen to know if a Dek3 will fit in a dek1 pirtle sheath? Looks like it will and I know the retention may be loose as the dek3 is thinner but see more dek1 pirtle sheaths up for sale then dek3 so about to pull the trigger just curious if anyone has tried? Thanks

Just tested. DEK 3 fits in a Pirtle DEK 1 sheath but there is no retention, it just sits inside and will fall out if turned over.

Pirtle does amazing work. If you're ever interested in a more classic styled sheath, Blues Blues has been helping me with a prototype that will fit all of the DEK's (1, 2, and 3) quite nicely.

The knives do not fall out of the sheath when turned upside down, but I did not shake. So if you plan to fall down a mountain or get held upside down by the ankles by Sasquatch...you're on your own.

(Otherwise, the knife stays put until you want it. The swivel feature is great for those of us whose shoulders appreciate being able to draw from a less than vertical angle. I either grab the tail end of the sheath or use my left forearm to hold the sheath in place for the draw with my right hand. Works quite well.)
