I mean, chick or not at least they paid you a compliment there. ‘Sides, since they were in a costume you can tell everyone it was an SI swimsuit model and they can’t prove different 🤷🏻‍♂️ At least you were deemed worthy 😪

Gentlemen: could someone please inform me on the pros and cons of "standard" vs "reverse" orientation for Mummert Clips? And which works best for right front carry? I would assume that "standard" would be for right front pocket, but looking at the "reverse", I could almost see some advantages to that one as well, depending on the sheath. Thanks in advance.

Seems totally appropriate given the circumstances. It sounds like you had a pretty good handle on the situation the whole time (or maybe she did). I also think you went out of your way trying to make sure that your furry friend felt special. It’s just sad that some people have gutter minds and will judge others no matter what.

For me it depends on how the pockets are cut: Jeans with reverse (pocket lines near the seam are almost horizontal), Khaki/Bermuda type pockets with "standard" (pocket lines near the seam are more vertical). So most of my Mummert clips are reverse - if I use standard in jeans, the knife will poke me in my "beer muscle" sitting down. Typically, you can also mount the reverse on a sheath a little higher, as you can use it with your thumb to get a knife out quickly.

Try both ways.

For example, these two knives are from navman navman . The DCC clip in the standard position is superior for the right front pocket of my Duluth cargo shorts / pants. The handle is hidden in the pocket and comfortable for me when sitting, or standing and easy to retrieve.

However, it is not as good in the waistband as it tilts and prints too much.

The DCC mounted on the spine side is not as good in the front pocket as the handle projects more than I like. It works, but not as nicely.

That said, it is superior for AIWB as the knife is held vertically as the clip is closer to the knife and mimics the alignment. Much better for that application. Having the ability to try both is worth your while.
