I really like my 1997 f250 with the 7.3 powerstroke.
After 27 years it has only needed brakes, clutch, transmission, suspension work, turbo, injectors, under the valve cover wiring harness, glow plug relay, alternator, serpentine belt, in the tank fuel pickup foot, tank selector valve, fuel pump, oil and tires.
And, other than an alarming amount of play in the steering and an annoying squeaking sound when you turn the wheel, it's practically still new!
I love these Ford trucks. I think I've probably got less than $3,000 per year per truck keeping them on the road.
Now that's what I call value!
Edit: annual repairs literally cost more than I spend on fuel. For every truck in the fleet, every year.
