It is Zac Brown, you non-country music listening goons!
Well, Steve Earle said modern country music is hip hop for people who are scared of black people.

My HDFK and processing an elk this year story-
In the past I always took 4 different knives in my pack out elk hunting in hopes of bagging one, & then field dressing it and the butchering work to follow.
This year I took the 3 “other brand” knives & 1 CPK HDFK:
I did get my elkand then got to the work at hand of skinning it and processing &
breaking it all down for the game bags, & packing it out & back to the vehicle for transporting it home.
In the past after I would do the initial big cuts and the removal of the hide I would need to change out knives or resharpen as the thick elk hide, hair, and the work in general would dull my blade quite a bit...
Long story short version-
this year I did not need my other 3 knives...
I started and finished processing the entire huge elk with 1 knife- the HDFK.
I did put a couple of knicks in the blade’s edge from me doing some chopping at the knee joints, which I easily fixed in the following days, but even with that it held its edge & back home it would still cut thru copier paper making strips using a push cut, the next day.
I ended up with over 160 freezer bags and assorted wrapped packages of elk meat, but I used only the 1 knife-
CPK HDFK!
So Nathan and CPK crew:
keep doing what it is you are doing with that heat treating process of the 3v and the grind/geometry/design of your products- I can testify that THEY WORK very well and am very impressed with what you’re doing.
I did not once get “tired hands” from the unbuffed micarta handle and the shape is excellent, the sharp edge made processing the meat an easy task, and not having to stop, then strop, & restart helped everything get done quicker and more efficiently.
It took me over 4 hours by myself to get it done but I did it using only 1 knife- YOURS...
Much appreciated and I am anxiously looking forward to your new knife models, and acquiring more CPK products for hard use.
Thanks too for keeping the prices affordable for such great handling working man’s knives!
Yes, many times I switch my grip for finer cuts or more precision, & changing the cutting angle, did you make much use of the finger bay?
Chicken, Spade L Ranch seasoningFish or chicken^?
My mouth is watering
Blackjack model 4 that I recently regroundI think that Nathan only used Latrobe's A2 steel in 2 patterns, early Shivs and early FKs. What A2 knife are you attempting the forced patina with?
