If you have already scored a UF (or two) during the two past Fridays sales, kindly consider giving some of us slower pokes a chance to garb one in tomorrow's sales by standing on the sidelines, specially in lieu of the fact that there will be a preorder on Jan 4th. Thank you :)

I used to do OK with all the prior sales, till I started really getting skunked with these UFs, I mean really really bad falling to 30th spot or worse, whereas in the past I never had any problem making the top 10-15, eventhough I rarely ever made the top 1 or 2!

The problem which I have noticed being in the U.S. West Coast and reportedly not near the BFC servers is that there's a huge and noticeable delay at this end soon as 12:00 PM Pacific Time hits and it takes my page an inordinate amount of time to reload which causes me to lose a precious few seconds which all the differences between winning or getting skunked

Sure, personal skills and other trickery have an equal if not more crucial effect but it's not even a fair competition when the friggin proverbial gun freezes upon firing no matter how fast you draw it from holster!!!

P.S.FYI, my Mac is hardwired (no WiFi) and the Internet its fast enough with max 200 GB download, 20 GB upload speeds.

I hear ya, I’m on an Island off the west coast on wi-fi.
It’s still great fun! If I was too fast I’d be broke ;)

Well I have no chance with the whole Atlantic ocean in the way! On wifi, competing with two xbox's and using my mobile.

We've been talking regularly. He's fine... kids are fine... Just a major life event has put knife hobby on the back burner, way in the back. I'll let him know about your kind thoughts. Thank you :)

Au contraire Christian, mon ami... I will not label myself pessimistic but instead realistically biased. Our species is good at making sh*t up, very good at it indeed. We've been doing it before we could even speak languages by drawing and painting. We are imaginative creatures and good at telling stories.

Some folks are glass 1/2 full and some are glass 1/2 empty but why not be of the type who questions as to whether the damn glass was correctly made to spec?

I was wondering the same thing. Glad you're in contact with him. I thought the utility fighters might entice him to pop in.
