Yes RIP Filson for me for the the same plus other reasons. The other day they emailed me boasting of a Japanese denim drop and that was the nail in the coffin. Now it’s hip to dress like a logger or cowboy or whatever. I use Jotul wood stoves and have been happy with them. They are pricey but well made and designed. Mine has self cleaning glass and it actually works and stays clear and clean. It maybe excessive for a garage though. I had one of these in an out building and it heats good and is not as finicky about getting started or size of splits or anything like the new epa stoves are. They eat wood though. They “cigar burn” logs lengthwise front to back. They can be had for just over 300$ from the big hardware stores.
I had 3 or 4 free whiskeys and came home with a hat. Wanted a metal camping mug instead, but got beat out.
