Does anyone have a recommendation for a diagnostic tool for my truck? It’s a 2018
Chevy 2500 Duramax. The check engine light is randomly turning on and the off. I want one that is no more than a couple hundred bucks. I use iOS. Thanks in advance.
I'll text the estimate guy at work

He uses a blue tooth scan tool that works pretty good and wasn't that expensive

Thanks. I live 1.5 hours from the dealership and I didn’t want to get up there and have them not be able to replicate it. So that will help. I can just pull over and run it when the light is on.
The writer at work who has it loves it, glad i could help you!

And thank you I'm feeling better!!!!

It is my understanding that, these newer vehicles, even if the light is off the error code is recorded and if they have the right code reader they can retrieve it. The light does not need to be on for them to analyze it.
