If you don’t tuck your shirt into your pants, does that mean your pants are tucked into your shirt? o_O

Not necessarily....

I just remembered how cheap decent .22 ammo used to be.

And don't even get me started on the 500 round bricks of American Eagle for $9.99.

Hope everyone is having a pleasant night.

Yup those were the days alright !!! Use to ride my 3 wheeler out into the woods to a sand pit or the huge hill backstop. We’d plink away all day back there !!!!!
If I recall gas was like .89c a gallon too !! :-)

^^^Ah... the good 'ol days where a brick of .22, a Ruger 10/22, a 30 round banana clip, and a free Saturday afternoon in late June were all a boy could ever want.

Fine days indeed! One buddy had a 10/22, another had a tube-fed Marlin, I was still rocking my dad's old Winchester model 68. Somehow they always ran out of ammo before me. :D

I'm not into guns at all, but that pistol is very nice

^yep, have the Armalite AR-7 or one of the Charter Arms in the trunk or safe in every vehicle.................

Ca law can be interpreted in more than one way with respect to concealment, and in this particular case creates real confusion as to whether it is a weapon if in take-down condition, so best to store the clip and ammo up front which avoids all issues entirely.

I got you beat. I bought these at Two Guys in Goleta in the late 1970s. I probably complained at how expensive ammo was getting. :D

I had a minty Colt Woodsman Sport 3rd series about 6 years ago. I was made an offer that I should have refused. :(

It wasn't very long ago that people were bitching that they couldn't find .22 ammo at any price and if they could find it, they were often only allowed to buy a few boxes. Now, the shelves are full. The last time I went to Sportsman's Warehouse, I damn near tripped over a pallet of Federal .22 ammo. Now, people are reminiscing about what ammo cost 20, 30, 40 years ago. :D

I saw a deal on standard velocity ammo last week. 4¢ per round. That's about the same a good quality .22 airgun pellets.

Folks will always reminisce about what prices used to be. Anyone who's been around the block a time or two, knows that ammo prices go up before an election. I doubt prices will ever be significantly lower than they are right now.

The days of $0.12 .223/5.56 and $0.15 .308/7.62x51 surplus are long gone.
