Random Thought Thread

that's f'ing crazy
Folks always tend to panic buy when they think there's a possibility of impending bans.

After the Sandy Hook tragedy, a lot of ammo was nearly impossible to find, and was 10-20x the price when you did find it. Magazines for semi autos went up 5-10x the regular price.

I rarely go to McDonalds except for coffee once in awhile. A couple of weeks ago I went in for a Quarter Pounder meal. $9.29:eek: With tax it was over $10. I posted that on another forum and folks said that it must have been a mistake or something. Nope, I checked at another McDonalds and it was the same. I'm old enough to remember the 15¢ burgers.

One thing people tend to forget is how much they made when that ammo was cheaper. IIRC, in 1970 I was making about $225 a week. We lived in a 1 bedroom apartment and the rent was $125 a month. Regular gas was about 27¢ a gallon.

Rent here in Sydney where I am from is a good $300 or so per week for a one bedroom apartment xD
Crazy expensive...

Random thought I just had...

I hope Nathan and team have had a great week, and decide to toss a couple beers back at lunch to blow off some well deserved steam. And one of 'em says, "Hey, whadda ya say kick out a couple gray turds from the creek bottom this afternoon and watch the fun." Then maybe a couple FK2's get cannibalized just for the heck of it on an early drop.

(a guy can dream, right?)
