The footage of the Spaxe X launch and the landing of the booster is so amazing. There are quite a few cameras and you can watch the speed. Very cool.

Most Awesome!! Thank you 👍

I can remember watching the Mercury & Apollo on black and white back when they took place.

I can’t even begin to imagine the hand calculations vs the computer calculations that now take place automatically.

It blows my mind how exponentially we have advanced so quickly.

It is crazy to think how much was accomplished prior to modern computers. What was most astonishing to me was seeing the booster rocket land so steadily, and seeing the speed ramping up of the rocket/craft and realizing a typical .300 Win Mag load is only traveling about 2,000mph. Truly amazing.

My goodness, that landing was spectacular 🤩

Yes, those speeds are hard to comprehend, but like you said, compared to the 300 win mag, gosh, everyone into hunting, rifles, shooting, and reloading, should be able to relate to those speeds.

Forgive if you already know: You could say modern computers were invented for/with the Apollo program:

Looking through "new posts" it's sad to see all the gimmickry in the "for sale" ads. This place is (sadly) turning into a lamentable imitation of a flea market.

Step right up...

(Where the focus in the early days was on knives and the knife community, it has been taken over by rampant consumerism.)
