Random Thought Thread

Maybe I'm older than I think with all this video game talk? I was outside hunting and fishing or just running around in the timber. I don't think there was ever a video game in our house growing up. I doubt you could have gotten me to stay inside and sit still long enough even if we had had any video games ... I would have thought I was being punished.

I remember playing a couple video games at the rollerskating rink like Galaga, but that's about it back then.

I was a pro at Galaga. You never lose it. 30 years later on a road trip with the family, there it was in a restaurant. They had to drag my out because I wasn't dying. I never had games at home, just at the 7-11 in early teens. As an adult one of my students tried to get me into a modern game called Skyrim, but my kids quickly took over. I did end up making them the Blade of Woe from the game...

Bringing my boys up right, 1st boy has been playing these for 6 years now, started when he was 9 and these 4’ version of those games came out. 3 year old started playing about 4 months ago🥰

lol. Probably won't have time to dig them out this weekend, but I know right where they are, next to my old NES (in original box that I miraculously kept), along with my wife's family's old one too (not in box, but the console is in better shape than mine).

Nintendo power sold SOO many unplayable video games to unsuspecting 12 year olds with birthday money.

not me though. I read it STRICTLY for the articles
