Jeannie and I are headed out to Cloudland Canyon park in the AM! A highly-anticipated and much-needed woods trip to a place that's BEAUTIFUL! Weather is going to be perfect and there will be food, fire, booze and knives!

While the Gov was shut down, some yahoos (criminals really) managed to deface and tag rocks / boulders in Joshua Tree (National Park) with their stupid graffiti crap plus tore up the earth with 4wheelers and things because the park rangers were furloughed

I hope that the people in your neck of the woods have more respect for Nature. Enjoy

That’s horrible to hear!
One of my favorite places. Did some rock climbing and camping there about 20 years ago. At dusk, I remember looking around and having this surreal feeling. Like I was on an alien planet - Mars with weird looking trees.

Some expert reports say that the fudging criminal idiots have done many years (centuries by some accounts) of damage. I really don’t know and don’t care for this to morph into any kind of political advocacy. One thing for sure though, there are some POS horrible and inconsiderate “human beings” who do not respect Nature.
