I know they collaborated on the 10 speed transmission, which would make sense as I had to replace one a year ago!

ETA: for the record, my experience with the 10 speeds have been largely positive, but as I understand it, the ones that have problems have serious problems.

They all have problems. I have a coworker that has a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 6.2. It has like 60k and he is on his 3rd motor and 2nd transmission. He just had the motor replaced and they put 100k warranty on it. Obviously he doesn't trust that truck and will be the last GM he buys.

I've had zero problems with my 2020 Ram 1500 5.7 hemi with 90K on it. Of course it could burst into flames today or the transmission self destruct. I've always had GMC until the last one. So far so good and I drive it hard.

Crank bearing issues

I've had GM trucks for years , all were the 5.3 never an issue (although there was reports of others with lifter issues)

My first 6.2 and I love it.... hopefully I don't have issues with it

Wife’s got 105k on her 2017 Ram 1500 Hemi. Been a great truck, all I’ve done is change the oil and put new brakes on the front a couple years ago. Had the exhaust manifolds replaced under warranty when they cracked. (Yours will crack to)

My sister's 1500 hemi broke some manifold bolts out of the head because they warped

It was kind of a cool project. She brought it to the shop, we pulled them off with her doing most of the work. I extracted the broken studs and we re machined the manifolds flat and buttoned it back up.

It worked great and it was a neat little project with my sister. Kinda a cool little truck.
