Flonase and Astepro nasal sprays can really help, and are inexpensive.
Allegra D has been keeping me sane so far. Probably been at least ten years since I’ve had to take any type of allergy medicine. I use to have really bad allergies every season when I was a lot younger, then it was like they just stopped for a very long time. And now they are back this year kicking my butt. 😡🤷🏻‍♂️

Also worth noting;

Astepro is an as-needed antihistamine. DON’T sniff/snort the spray. You’ll be stuck with the bitter taste for hours

Flonase requires several days of daily use to build effectiveness (and smells and tastes like fake air freshener floral).

No one reads the labels lol. I have bad seasonal allergies, and Flonase has been the most effective for me. I’ve had people tell me, “Tried Flonase. Didn’t do anything for me. Went back to Claritin/Allegra/Zyrtec”. “So you only used it the one time before going out?”. “Yeah”. “Then you want Astepro. Use Flonase daily for a week or two, if you want to see if it works for you”.

I don't use anything. I do have some Amazon generic "Benadryl" but I didn't care for the way it made me feel the one time I took it.
(I really just got it for the wife or dog getting yellow jacket stings.)

I'm pretty bad about taking medications. Or good, if not taking them is the better course.

Some not common knowledge that really ought to be common knowledge: long-term use of Benadryl has been shown to be a significant contributing factor to the development of dementia and it is no longer recommended for regular use. There are people that use it to help them sleep that have been using it for decades and they might find themselves having some real problems because of it.

I used to have annoying allergies with a chronic sore throat.

In my mid thirties I developed stomach ulcers and I was treated for them which included long-term use of a couple of pretty strong antibiotics that wiped out my GI. I cut out all sugars and processed starchy foods and when my GI reset it must have developed a different Flora. Now my system does not process a lot of sugar very well. And all of my allergies went away. So this is a case study of one but it strikes me as being pretty awesome the extent to which your GI and things like sugar intake affect your allergies because mine used to be pretty bad and now they're practically nothing.

Damnit. If I wasn’t type 1 diabetic then I would definitely be type 2. 😞

I gotta chill on the sweets.

Someone has to pay it. Thank you for your contributions. Feel free to take out a few library books. You've earned it.
If they could work out some scheme by which our taxes paid for our CPKs it would be a lot more tolerable.

"Sorry the tax bill went up, but please accept this SDFK, neck knife and Behemother as our way of saying thanks. And stand by for the folder we have in the works".

Now that would be the kind of government I could support.
