Random Thought Thread

I haven’t shared this new to me 55 Chevy 210 yet because I wasn’t sure if it was a keeper seeing that I already have two project cars that need a ton of time and money, but here she is.
It rolled off the Kansas City Missouri plant 70 years ago today and is proof they don’t make them like they used to.
It’s basically bone stock with the original 72k 235ci and 3 on the tree, but I do plan on dropping a healthy 350 in it and a 700r4 or 4l80 transmission.
It’ll also be turned into a 2 door posted 210 down the road because I’m not a fan of “more doors”.
Color has yet to be decided, but I’m leaning towards Chevrolet hugger orange and I’m thinking a set of Crager SS’s will be perfect. Kinda 60’s and 70’s style A/Gas.

I probably would if it was the body style before this one.
These Tri-fives look kinda goofy slammed or chopped, but the 49-54’s look great.
Here’s my neighbor Justin’s 54 that just got finished in time for Grand National Roadster Show.

Thanks bud!
I got lucky that it has lived its life in Manitou Springs and Littleton Colorado so it’s almost rust free other than some minor bubbling at the drip rail and on the right rear fender behind the trim.

Ask this guy; a buddy of mine from high school. He’s the hunting editor for Firearms News. He took this 800 pounder with the (I believe) .44 mag pictured. If I recall correctly, he told me he was tracking an Elk, came down a bank to a stream to find this thing charging him. Pretty much landed at his feet. He’s been writing, on the side for years but was a professional bad ass in his previous career.
