Water and dawn dish soap in a super soaker works really well.

If they're in a ground nest, around dusk, you can put a window screen over the hole and weigh down each corner. Then blast them; the soap/water mix suffocates them.

Since I work on vehicles..... my wife really thinks I enjoy putting furniture and tables together........

Considering your area of expertise, I think it would be pretty friggin cool if you went ahead and paint matched all the tables and furniture with some kind of awesome chameleon pearl paint job!

I've done a few amateur woodworking projects and every time my wife sees something, she asks if I can build one.
