Imagine the horror if only the the big coastal cities survived while all the productive people in the heartland perished. There would be nobody left to pay for all their entitlements. Even Snake Plisskin would have a hard time escaping from that nightmare.

When the Toba supervolcano (in Indonesia) blew 74,000’ish years ago, it almost wiped out the human population.

They found ash fall from it as far away as East Africa and it covered India with 2” of ash.

One of our vacations, we went to Lake Toba; the lake left behind by the caldera. The lake is big enough that it has an island in it (Samosir) almost the size of Singapore.

The Yellowstone caldera is even bigger.

I was very impressed heading to and leaving Nathan's , my new to me truck averaged over 20 mpg!!!!
