Random Thought Thread

Small town Fall Celebration to benefit the volunteer fire department. It was a steak dinner, silent auction, live music, and ect. type of party. We had a good turnout. BYOK to avoid trying to cut your steak with a plastic knife.

So much for the high tech motion sensors, pressure sensors, laser beams etc. for the security system.

“Well… we never thought someone might be able to get up to the 1st floor, so we didn’t think to put alarms to sound if a window is broken, or opened. Why aren’t there any alarms that would go off when one of the priceless jewels is removed from the display? Well, who would do such a thing? Thieves? Yes, yes. I suppose thieves might do such a thing.”

LOL - that was exactly my first thought after reading that article as well.

"Oui, millions have been spent on the best security in the world to protect the sacred objects of the Louvre. But how could anyone have foreseen the use of a ladder to get to a 1st floor window?!? Sacre bleu!!"
