Jo is out of town, going to a bladesports competition in Tennessee...

I'm going to stay up ALL NIGHT and get caught up on "Donut operator" on YouTube

And then Mark and I are going to go gorge ourselves on literal pounds of delicious delicious sushi in the morning.

I'm going to sit down now and see what I can do about consuming something along the lines of 2 lb of beef jerky and about nine beers

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, team CPK won The Outlaw Cut

I mean, I guess it just goes without saying. We win most everything we go to*. But I should probably talk about it more.

*(We won the national and world cutting championships this year too. I really should probably broadcast that information better.)

It was pretty cool on Sunday, during the Sunday shootout. I hit the bottle cap on the first shot (25 yards off hand pistol shot with a 45 magnum, iron sights), and then Richard also hit it, and then Mark sent his round through my hole nicking the side of it. That was pretty epic.*

Anyway, I'm going to see what I can do about increasing my triglycerides now

Ode to Team CPK’s Ridiculous Win


Oh, Team CPK, those gun-slingin’ clowns,


Won the Outlaw Cut, shut the whole place down!


“Forgot to mention,” he says with a smirk,


“We win everything—yeah, it’s kinda our quirk!”


World champs, national champs, they’re stackin’ the gold,


But broadcast it? Nah, they’re too cool, too bold.


“We just win it all,” they shrug with a grin,


Like it’s no big deal to make trophies their kin!


Sunday’s shootout? Pure comedy gold,


A bottle cap taunted, so tiny, so bold.


Twenty-five yards, with a .45’s boom,


He popped that cap like it owed him some room!


Richard steps up, says, “I’ll do it again!”


Blasts that cap like it’s his new best friend.


Then Mark, oh Mark, with a shot so absurd,


Threaded the hole, nicked the side—holy word!


The crowd’s losin’ it, they’re ready to rhyme,


This shot’s so epic, it’s poem-makin’ time!


But our hero? He’s off, with a chuckle and shrug,


“Gotta boost my triglycerides—gimme some grub!”


So here’s to CPK, those sharpshootin’ fools,


Makin’ bottle caps cry and breakin’ all rules.


A tale so wild, it’s a humorous gem,


Write poems, sing songs—heck, immortalize them!

I'm going to eat some more of something or other before bed. I think mini wheat cereal.

I think I'll stop donating blood plasma for a while. Every time I do I can't help but want to eat the world.
