If it makes you feel any better, we started Nov with snow…then rain and sub zero temps, and now record cold with no snow. Only a few inches on the ground (with ice covering) here and at the cabin. Craziest Dec I have seen.

Your buddy near Healy has been having really cold weather.
We had almost three feet of mountain snow. Then around 28 inches of rain over the last week. The states been declared a natural disaster. We lost the road to two of my riding areas. And Hwy 2 Stevens pass that I live on, and makes it about a 45 minute drive to a lot more snow parks is closed for at least several months. The highway is washed out and completely gone in three places, with several others areas covered in 20 feet of mudslide. That officially means I have one place to ride this winter, because it’s now going to be a 4-5 hour detour to go anywhere else. 😔

Today through Friday is cold again though and there calling for 3-4 feet of snow. 🤞🏻

I have been following the news reports from that area- nuts!

Please be careful with avalanche conditions! Stay safe.

Every time I think I have it bad in winter, I think of you guys and EMCEE EMCEE , and realize though I may have it bad, you guys trump it by far, hands down! A tip of the cap and a cheers to you all 🍻

It's 40 degrees and raining right now.

In Minnesota.

On December 18.

Neat

Yep, here has been 33-40 (even at nigh) everything is melting,, the gutters are a dripping mess, at least the icicles are gone. Making way for the January mess of deep deep freeze (-20 to -30).

February will be heavy wet snow, but nightcrawler will emerge by the last week (it thaws quickly).

By March it will be over, nothing but a soggy mess and an occasional snow that will melt in a day.

April will bring beautiful flowers, can’t wait!

It’s a fast changing season that so much depends upon the wind direction.

On December 18... someone spilled liquid on the weather machine control panel again...

Supposed to be 49° here today , rain through the day and drop to 21° at 8 a.m. tomorrow

I have a feeling it's going to be icy in the morning

I forgot about the up to 50 mph winds

I remember having coffee outside @67 degrees on Christmas morning. Rare event, but almost no snow till after January 1.

Then the deep freeze and snow begins, but in numbers that don’t make sense so quickly 😵‍💫

That is quite a bit of venison standing there

Tricky shot though, with the houses behind them

Too close by law. I would never attempt, permission or not.

Venison is not worth the potential consequences.

Hunt it normal and take pride in what you accomplish. JMHO of course.

My apologies Nathan, I didn’t realize who I was responding to, just the same, the way I was raised by Gramps.
