I'm actually surprised reading this coming from the top top knifemaker and CPK impresario! If you learn how to harvest pomegranate seeds, which still messy requiring attention and precision, it can become like scalping, flaying, spanking and drowning someone to death before devouring them

You’re going to be there a while. My father in law has mature pomegranate tree. He gives us a bunch whenever we are around while they are ripe. I still have some sitting on my counter because after eating a few, the juice just doesn’t seem to be worth the squeeze so to speak. They are pretty good though. If separate them in water the seeds sink and the white membrane floats.

I just bite them like an apple and then spit out the pulp and seeds.

I just ignore the whole fruit on our counter until they mysteriously become a dish full of the seeds in the fridge. Then they're ready to eat.
