Rent and housing have skyrocketed in the State. Too many, too quickly. Doesn't matter what party.

Understand. My point is the common argument (to say it nicely) "Californians leave for another state and then vote liberal just like as home" is not correct. CA is > 30% conservative, they have been the first to leave. Now, Austin and Denver, for instance, might be another matter, but I'd first look at corrupt voter rolls, and who votes or doesn't vote, rather than blame other states' immigrants.

End of subject for me.

That’s one of the things that confuses me; “Oh… where should we move to retire to? How about somewhere we can have swamp ass just stepping outside most of the year, and a decent chance of getting hit with a hurricane every year? Yeah, let’s move there!”

🤔

Because ice storms, 12+ inches of snow, frequent wildfires, frequent tornados are better? It's just another place to live and you can get used to the heat & humidity. At least my power bills are super low in the winter. But, let's face the fact that nowhere is perfect. Choose your poison.

True, nowhere is perfect, but snow isn’t really that hard to deal with. It doesn’t tend to destroy the house and surrounding area (you just have to deal with your vehicles rusting out from under you from all the road salt 😂).

*** that’s another one above; I recall a comedian’s skit that went, “WHY would anyone live somewhere nicknamed Tornado Alley?!”.

Was reading on another forum about someone who had THREE different houses destroyed by tornadoes within just a few years. In Tornado Alley. I’d think after the second one, do you REALLY go, “Well… what are the chances of another house getting hit by a tornado in Tornado Alley?”, or do you go, “We need to move TF out of here”.

Damn you guys are making Ohio sound like paradise
Never!
