I recently learned that there’s this thing where, after you die, they freeze your body or just your brain in a cryonics chamber so that when humanity eventually figures out how to bring people back to life, they can revive you—like, in 200 years someone might resurrect me if they find a way.
I’m not one of those people who would say something like
“Oh, I don’t want to live forever or be brought back.”
On the other hand, I mentioned this to my wife, and she went:
“Who the hell is going to need you in 200 years to bother reviving you?”
Harsh, but fair.
Still, on the flip side, maybe in 200–300 years I could make a living as a living exhibit.
Although, I think there’s a pretty realistic chance that if they revive you (or whoever’s reading this) in 300 years, they’d probably throw you in jail within 10 minutes for saying some word or opinion—even if you just said “hello” to people from the future

Would you want to be revived 300 years from now, or like, exist as an AI / digital mind?
