Random Thought Thread

I recently learned that there’s this thing where, after you die, they freeze your body or just your brain in a cryonics chamber so that when humanity eventually figures out how to bring people back to life, they can revive you—like, in 200 years someone might resurrect me if they find a way.

I’m not one of those people who would say something like
“Oh, I don’t want to live forever or be brought back.”

On the other hand, I mentioned this to my wife, and she went:
“Who the hell is going to need you in 200 years to bother reviving you?”

Harsh, but fair.

Still, on the flip side, maybe in 200–300 years I could make a living as a living exhibit.

Although, I think there’s a pretty realistic chance that if they revive you (or whoever’s reading this) in 300 years, they’d probably throw you in jail within 10 minutes for saying some word or opinion—even if you just said “hello” to people from the future 🤔

P.S
Would you want to be revived 300 years from now, or like, exist as an AI / digital mind?

We are in the ''300 years from now''

Your reality is a simulation because your brain that's in the jar it's kept alive in has gone insane and this matrix reality is the only thing keeping you sane and calm.

And you have heat rays.

And lightning breath.

And a boob.

Or we are all really just playing a detailed game of dungeons and dragons and when we wake up it will be apparent that we are all beholder casting cones of forgetfulness over and over to pass the time and get a laugh.

Or something.

I’m about to go to sleep soon, and you just gave me a really cool thing to think about before bed!

Any of you partake in chewing tobacco?
I’ve had a truly disgusting experience with tobacco.
I trade at markets and I’ve got something like ADHD
(I just consider myself an active autist)

So anyway, one time I took an electronic cigarette from my friend and told him, “quit smoking this crap”.
And then I ended up vaping that same disposable (around 3000 puffs) in just a couple of trading sessions.

I vaped for maybe two weeks and then just straight-up quit, because I realized I was smoking way too much.
During those couple of weeks I tried pretty much everything: chewing tobacco, vapes, regular cigarettes.

Normally I would just drink tea or sparkling water and squeeze this little rubber toy that pops its eyes out when you crush it.

The moral of the story is:

If you’re a hyperactive person (yeah, sure, uh-huh),
it’s better if you never start smoking at all.

Something like this kinda shit:

Later I bought a folding knife and while I was working I just kept opening and closing it non-stop — so often that the locking mechanism eventually broke.

That's it, I promise, I'm going to sleep
