Thank God we have a dual fuel HVAC system. At some point after going to bed last night the heat pump had some sort of issue. (I'm guessing a capacitor.) Thermostat shows that heat is on but the fan is not turning outside...so it brought up auxiliary, (propane furnace), when the temp dropped two degrees indoors.

I checked that the fan can spin freely, and checked that it wasn't defrosting, because the furnace wasn't on to perform the defrost. So, either the capacitor or something in the motor took a crap. No breakers were tripped.

Furnace is so much nicer...though more expensive to run at $3 per gallon.

I'll call the HVAC folks next week when things settle down.

The current period is one of the most random and weird ones in terms of markets and valuations, guys.

This is a completely real story.

I shorted silver, almost from the peak levels, with maybe a couple of percent error.

With 10x leverage (meaning 10-fold borrowed funds).

How did I explain this to myself?

Well, first of all, because the growth had been way too big.

But if that was the only reason, I wouldn't be sharing this.

I saw how tinfoil hat timmy tinfoil hat timmy invested in stocks of companies that mine silver.

That was my top 2 reason, aside from the fundamentals.

By the way, bro, I honestly don’t think moments like that are something you need to hide or anything.
At the very least, it was fun.
At least we know that gambling is more reliable than rare earth metals.
