Five shots with my .308 G3 at 100 yards

The first three rounds was looking pretty good

147 grain 1980's military surplus ball ammo. If the round doesn't get you, the smoke will.

That's why you have to shoot five rounds to make a group

I should probably clean it. I've never cleaned it

I could bring rifles instead of pistols this year if you want. Would your neighbors appreciate some BMG noises? Pretty sure Mike would enjoy it...

A while back I read something about Carlos Hathcock and the rifle he carried in Vietnam.

It was a one MOA rifle. Which is not very impressive. Until you realize they're talking about a 10-shot group in a 10" target at 1,000 yards. And then it is impressive.

We all measure rifle accuracy with moa. But the group count, range, and proximity to point of aim matters different amounts to different people in different circumstances.

Imagine what he would have done with a modern sniper rifle. Hell, it took over 30 years for his 2500yd record to he broken, and he did it with a frickin ma deuce!

Today I was filling up my car.

Long story short, I forgot about $5 in change.

(I bought more gas than actually fit in the tank)

So yeah, don’t invite me out for beer, don’t ask me to invest, or do any of that stuff.

I’ve suffered a major financial loss and now I need time to recover.

I would like that, that would be very cool.

I was shooting at a thousand yards last weekend with some other people's kit. Made my old Jarrett Beanfield rifle look like a farming implement.

Not that I’m bragging or anything, but over the last couple of weeks my sleep quality has improved to a straight-up “delightful” level.

I’m sleeping like this literally:

The funniest thing is that I've started working about 20-30% less per day, and at the same time I've begun sleeping much better.


It seems that getting too exhausted is completely useless.

That little one in your left hand. Looking at the picture of it separated my shoulder and gave me a detached retina.

Maybe leave that one at home. I start getting bad judgment and poor impulse control by the end of the weekend and I might accidentally set it up on my bench and shoot it a few times and then we'll end up having the county out here.
