Because the image quality isn't very good, the chainmail looks like some kind of attachment for jeans—or something like that—that turns them into disco jeans.


Actually, I think I saw a movie where a guy was in prison and knew someone was going to attack him with a knife, so he stuffed books under his clothes like body armor.


I think that might have been in The Wire.


You could probably just wrap yourself in books or a large amount of paper.


That would most likely be even more reliable.
 
Both times I’ve been to Bladeshow in Atlanta, I felt like I should have worn full chainmail with all the balisongs flying outta peoples hands.

Almost got dinged in line. I woulda got dinged but I was paying attention. He and his dad apologized profusely. Meh. It is what it was.

Had the same happen to me in Ruby Tuesday's and I was about to cold cock the moron...who was at the time a member here.
 
Interesting, if theoretically there existed a service for collectors of narrow/niche specialties, where a lot of legal and logistical support is required for transportation — would this be a good and profitable business?


The only pitfall is that most likely you’d end up captive to a cartel or something like that.


Damn, why do so many good and potentially positive types of business eventually lead you to something bad 😒
