That Snopes article was last updated in 2025.

This article says funds were disbursed.

“The fundraiser was supported to support pre-trial needs, and those funds were disbursed over the last year,” the statement read. “With that stated purpose complete, the fundraiser has been closed.”
Yeah and the claims of a $900,000 house and Cadillac preceded the funds being disbursed. So the Twitter people making stuff up to fan the flames are actually oracles that predicted the future? And I still haven't seen any evidence that the money was used to buy a house and car even after the claims were made.

So you’re saying that the link from Snopes is accurate, and this one from Fox News is inaccurate (including the statement from GiveSendGo about disbursing funds)?

https://www.foxnews.com/us/convicte...d-fundraiser-money-moving-living-expenses.amp
Nope, the Fox News article is accurate and perfectly consistent with what Snopes said and what I said:
However the fundraising site says they had not taken out the money at the times those claims were made

Dont get me wrong, there is only one victim here, Austin Metcalf, but the parents of Karmelo Anthony were not present for his sentencing or victim impact statements.

And he is asking the court to appoint a public defender for his appeal since he is apparently penniless.

Oh

Yeah

Shit....

Yeah, that's not good. Those are ideal conditions for a dpf, it should regen passively with that.

Edit to add: unless you're running some kind of a tune. If you're running a tune, all bets are off.

This sounds like a combination of blow by plus EGR and not using a low ash oil.

You will need to talk to someone more knowledgeable than I, but it might be time to consider a DPF and EGR delete.

That soot is not just corking up your DPF. The EGR is actually not harmful to a young fresh engine that's running well (and it helps reduce cylinder temperatures which helps protect the top ring) but once they get some miles on them that EGR will kill an otherwise good engine and I think you might be looking at one of the first symptoms.

I do not know diesel

Any sort of aftermarket injection help in this case , maybe alcohol

*i mean that stuff just solves problems* lol

^ Not a shocker as neoliberal economic policies are designed to extract rent out of the consumers in every conceivable way because as that example above shows, mass ownership is not really that profitable for the top percenters.
On that note…….

Social media just made me aware that there is now a ONE MONTH LEASE program for cars!!!! 😆😆😆🫪

That’s smart for some people. No need for a car if you work from home or take public transportation. But, when you want one for a vacation or what not, $600 I’d better than $30,000 over 5 years plus maintenance costs, etc.

I love cars, but they are a stupid waste of money for many people.

Understood. And I do see how that would work for some people in certain situations. (Driving a new car potentially every month does have a certain appeal). Also, with current interest rates, I know MANY people whose monthly payments for ownership far exceed $600……like way more (triple)

And yes, they are definitely not an investment….. even though I act like they are!!!

Side note: I almost have the Ford Ranger market cornered with 4……. Will trade for Carothers!!! 😆

I’ve heard of this company called “uber” where you can pay for rides, I really think it’s gonna be big some day
Say you want to spend a week driving up the coast to see the little towns and scenery. Gonna cost a lot more than $600 for your Uber dude to drive you for a week. I hope you like his cologne! 😆🚙
