I believe they also excluded deaths of anyone 0-2 years of age, likely to keep out infant mortality due to SIDS, accidents, and other afflictions. You could argue it is a technically correct distinction but it is deliberately misleading as I think most people would correctly associate the term "children" with anyone from 0-18 years of age. If they are going to make distinctions between the cohorts then they should be consistent and break numbers down between infants, toddlers, children, and teens. But they did not.
As an aside, many of the deaths classified as “SIDS” are a result of preventable causes like co-sleeping/bed sharing.

Also the Euro/AC debate always makes me think of this Gem:

toker toker that is not a scam or flaw, it is the entire point of the marxist anarcho-tyranny system they are implementing.

Anarchy for the criminal class and tyranny for you.

Anarcho-tyranny is a political concept describing a system where the state simultaneously fails to enforce laws against serious criminals (anarchy) while aggressively regulating and punishing law-abiding citizens (tyranny).

Yea that’s the saddest/most frustrating thing about SIDS. An absolute tragedy that is almost always preventable and due to ignorance/lack of common sense and sometimes due to straight up negligence. I feel like that diagnosis or classification softens it and takes some of, if not all of, the responsibility off the parent in many cases.

For crying out loud...there's plenty to complain about in government and law enforcement, but that's just b.s. if you're trying to fit the way things work into that shoe box.

And I happen to know a little bit about it.

In the United Kingdom there certainly seems to be a lot of people getting into trouble for saying mean things on social media and not a lot of people getting into a lot of trouble for actual physical and sexual assaults

I am not qualified to speak about what happens in the U.K., though I have worked with the Met both here in the U.S. and in London...once on a case of theirs here, and a case of mine there.

I'm aware that they have more repressive laws in various regards compared to our own.

The U.K. Is falling apart, and that’s not exaggeration. The dork who is likely to be the next PM will change nothing. He’s just Starmer in jeans.

Many people in the U.S. are completely naive about what is happening to the U.K. the EU, and many other parts of the world.
