Off-roading incident

(while this is wildly misleading it is also technically true)

I would give more details but then Marc @Grenock it's going to tell me "I told you so", and I don't want that.

You definitely need to take the fact that you're alive much more seriously

Someone told me that too...!

Only rule was to walk straight when coming home :).
I'm a completely non-religious person.

I don't believe in karma or any of that stuff. Not in the slightest.

But I'm convinced that everything in life is about probabilities.

Every single everyday action you take is literally a game of chance.

Even the best actions and precautions don't give you a 100% guarantee of safety.

You're always playing with probabilities.

I believe there's some kind of "luck reserve" or whatever you want to call it.

And it's better not to waste it on unnecessary risks.

If in some incident I get lucky and break only one leg instead of both.

Then I got lucky, right?

But in the next incident I’ll need to run fast.

And I have a broken leg.

Relative to the first incident, I kind of got lucky, right?

But now the next one...

You need to remember two things at once.
  1. Human possibilities are literally limitless. Literally.
  2. You are a piece of meat, bones, and fluids on the inside.
