I feel for you bro…

The “male pattern baldness” gene runs in my family.
It started to appear in my early 20’s and kept increasing during my 30’s and was very evident by my mid 40’s/50’s. I bought a set of barbershop style electric clippers around 25 years ago and started to run a short #2 setting.

My 23 year old son is starting to lose his hair now and has decided to try some Minoxidil which may slow the loss down somewhat while he is still young but he’ll probably be heading towards MPB by his mid 50’s.

You’ve met me. So you know I’m bald. Started thinning when I was late twenties.

You haven’t met my brother. He has a full head of hair. Glorious, even.

My brother is a carbon copy of our dad.
My dad still has normal hair, albeit thinner as he is nearly 80.

Luckily he doesn’t tease me about the baldness.
