Random Thought Thread

We started sword production, probably over a year ago now. Hell, longer than that. The decking part.

And then holes get added for fixturing etc. some are precision holes, others are just for bolt up.

There's a vacuum fixture that holds it solid so I can machine the fullers. The fullers are tapered, it's not a constant section, so they're actually surface milled, it's a long process. Been doing that all year.

Steadily adding machines into the process as we go. Right now, all four of the main machines in the main shop area are now dedicated to sword production. This is significant because it requires modifications to our regular setups, particularly to the mill that I bevel on. As it is, it really can't make other stuff. Hell, I can't even close the door, it's going to get a shower curtain. :rolleyes:
 
Anyways, I am convalescing from a not trivial surgery on my right arm so everybody else is having to do "Nate" stuff.
