Lately when I wake up in my immediate state of daze and fog, I don't remember right away as what day it is! It is worrying but I would like to attribute this toward a few factors other than the current health of my own mental faculties:

A- Covid and the ensuing 2 or so months of SIS shutdown

B- My age

C- I don't have to go to work

D- Did someone fart in the punch bowl? This place looks like it died

The Salk Institute for biological studies located in the city of La Jolla in San Diego county is one of our true national treasures. It is named after Dr. Jonas Salk who developed the vaccine for polio who also resided later in his life in La Jolla, worked there and finally passed away there. The Salk institute does great work for humanity and as stated one of our treasures.

So I was very surprised when I was researching something related to Salk Institute and found out that it had Google reviews. I was like, “WTF?! This is no restaurant on Yelp so why does it have reviews? Can people review things like vaccines now? That would be tragic!”

Turns out that visitors who go on tours are the ones reviewing the place so I just took some perfunctory look at one and two stars reviews and can’t help SMDH at the morons who give a research institute low ratings for having to charge folks like $7 be when it used to be free! Or when they can’t take photos wherever they like and get told to move along!

Seriously? Some people! Can’t make this shit up

The other day I was curious how big the Gobi desert is so I googled it. Aside from learning its size I saw that it has a rating of 3.9 stars.

Turns out it's mostly jackasses leaving 'hilarious' reviews.

I have yet to find any product on amazon that has received a 100% rating. Even the best product will get a small percentage of negative reviews. Bottled water...3% negative.
Hershey's chocolate bars...8% negative. Seriously? Who doesn't know what to expect from a Hershey bar? There are some unhappy people who's only joy is complaining.

Hence why I am against CPK selling on Amazon where Chinese bots are forcefully at work looking for something new to trash on!

Okay I'll say it "I hate Amazon.com"
Long before the pandemic Amazon was killing small local merchants because of lazy people looking to save a few cents rather than getting off their asses and shopping locally.
Please buy locally if at all possible and keep your hard earned dollars in your own community.

I agree, but quite often local businesses do not have what I want. Let's say that I want Sooperdooper Whoopie ammo. The local gun shops do not carry it. Will they order
it for me? Nope. Boobies online gun shop has it and will ship for free if I buy enough. So, do I buy what I don't want to help out the local gun shop or do I order online?
