They're kind of gross.Random thought: Funyuns really aren't very fun
The Salk Institute for biological studies located in the city of La Jolla in San Diego county is one of our true national treasures. It is named after Dr. Jonas Salk who developed the vaccine for polio who also resided later in his life in La Jolla, worked there and finally passed away there. The Salk institute does great work for humanity and as stated one of our treasures.
So I was very surprised when I was researching something related to Salk Institute and found out that it had Google reviews. I was like, “WTF?! This is no restaurant on Yelp so why does it have reviews? Can people review things like vaccines now? That would be tragic!”
Turns out that visitors who go on tours are the ones reviewing the place so I just took some perfunctory look at one and two stars reviews and can’t help SMDH at the morons who give a research institute low ratings for having to charge folks like $7 be when it used to be free! Or when they can’t take photos wherever they like and get told to move along!
Seriously? Some people! Can’t make this shit up![]()

I have yet to find any product on amazon that has received a 100% rating. Even the best product will get a small percentage of negative reviews. Bottled water...3% negative.
Hershey's chocolate bars...8% negative. Seriously? Who doesn't know what to expect from a Hershey bar? There are some unhappy people who's only joy is complaining.
Okay I'll say it "I hate Amazon.com"
Long before the pandemic Amazon was killing small local merchants because of lazy people looking to save a few cents rather than getting off their asses and shopping locally.
Please buy locally if at all possible and keep your hard earned dollars in your own community.
Man how do I cook slab bacon? Can I just cook it in one piece like a steak?
