A groundswell of support, (or lack thereof - "shrinkage!"), arises ...

Both of them are fantastic!!
Let’s give props to the tools that make them shine too. That is hellacious abuse, no not abuse, but they were swinging gobs of force with confidence it won’t let them down with an edge that begs for more.
Great showing for Carothers!!!

Good question. I've been cold since Saturday.
The one that amuses me is acclimation.

In MI, when it first drops into the 40s for daytime highs in the Fall, folks comment, "Man, it's getting chilly" and put on their coats and jackets (some will start wearing them in the low 60s).

In the middle of January/February, if it gets into to 40s, people go, "It's nice that it warmed up!" and are walking around in shorts and t-shirts 😂

True story.

I was randomly thinking today about whether Jo the Machinist Jo the Machinist ever suffers from epicondylitis (lateral or medial) aka tennis / golfers elbow?

(I've battled it on and off for decades...as a result of overuse injuries from lifting, sports, climbing, etc.)
Not yet, but it could be in my future. I do have some carpel tunnel issues, but it hasn't bothered me in a while. I did notice some aggravation this weekend.

Jo the Machinist Jo the Machinist

Never had carpal, but I had ulnar nerve compression after a three week / 6,000 mile motorcycle trip from all that time leaning on the bars.

Something you might want to consider, since you get a lot of gripping / squeezing exercise, is to work the extensors to offset any imbalance.

You don't need to use these specifically, but they will give you the idea of what you want to accomplish to keep your flexors and extensors in balance. It has helped me tremendously over the years. I finish all my workouts with a couple minutes of grip work followed by working the extensors in this manner.

An ounce of prevention...

Good advice.

I've tried a variety of finger extensor bands and my favorite look like these
Extensor bands

They used to be available on Amazon then stopped selling them on Amazon and were only available from their online store, but I forgot the name of the brand and haven't been able to find them in the last 3-4 years 😂

I just ordered the ones in the link. I'll post how they hold up vs the brand I used to use.

Another interesting device that helped me recover from tennis elbow was the Theraband Flexbar and the 'Tyler Twist exercise.

I used to have some from Metolius but I didn't feel adequate tension from the ones that I had.

Still have an old weighted PowerStik from 20+ years ago which is good for forearm exercises. I don't think it's still being made, however.

I still have a few hundred "beaten to death" tennis balls from the good old days when I could still play that work well.
