Good question. I've been cold since Saturday.why are humans only super comfy in such a s.all range of temperatures and weather conditions?
The one that amuses me is acclimation.Good question. I've been cold since Saturday.
True story. The one that amuses me is acclimation.
In MI, when it first drops into the 40s for daytime highs in the Fall, folks comment, "Man, it's getting chilly" and put on their coats and jackets (some will start wearing them in the low 60s).
In the middle of January/February, if it gets into to 40s, people go, "It's nice that it warmed up!" and are walking around in shorts and t-shirts![]()
Not yet, but it could be in my future. I do have some carpel tunnel issues, but it hasn't bothered me in a while. I did notice some aggravation this weekend.I was randomly thinking today about whetherJo the Machinist ever suffers from epicondylitis (lateral or medial) aka tennis / golfers elbow?
(I've battled it on and off for decades...as a result of overuse injuries from lifting, sports, climbing, etc.)

Good advice.Jo the Machinist
Never had carpal, but I had ulnar nerve compression after a three week / 6,000 mile motorcycle trip from all that time leaning on the bars.
Something you might want to consider, since you get a lot of gripping / squeezing exercise, is to work the extensors to offset any imbalance.
You don't need to use these specifically, but they will give you the idea of what you want to accomplish to keep your flexors and extensors in balance. It has helped me tremendously over the years. I finish all my workouts with a couple minutes of grip work followed by working the extensors in this manner.
An ounce of prevention...
I still have a few hundred "beaten to death" tennis balls from the good old days when I could still play that work well.I used to have some from Metolius but I didn't feel adequate tension from the ones that I had.
Still have an old weighted PowerStik from 20+ years ago which is good for forearm exercises. I don't think it's still being made, however.
