Just got an email reply from Jarrod at H&B. He told me he's made a few spontoon pipe hawks in the past and he'd be glad to do it.

What I have in mind isn't a spontoon pipe hawk, but a wicked Spontoon Spike Hawk. Eeeeeevil.

Can't wait to see it what's the lead time gonna be ?

I don't know yet. I mailed my drawing and specs to H&B this morning. I mean paper mail not that fancy-pants email.

After I drafted it, I decided against any cut-out in the blade. Let's keep it simple.

The spike is short, un-edged, and assymetrical. Like a claw. The idea is more for bashing than puncturing.

Well maybe when I am contacted by him, i'll ask how much more it would be to have a cut out.

And instead of the pipe bowl, it will have a short (about 2.5" long) unedged and slightly down-curved spike.

After sketching a few prototypes, I sent the one I liked best.

It really does have a vicious, predatory look to it.

Next tomahawk to join my arsenal after this one though, will be a spontoon type. I've wanted one for years but you never see them.

That's what I'm talking about simple elegant and with the spike deadly can't wait to see this one come together.

Just heard from H&B today. He says he can definitely make it. It will cost me about $95 + S&H.

Are you gonna go for it? Sounds reasonable to me. I like the looks of the Seneca hawk with the weeping heart cutout.

Yeah I already called them up and it's on the way. I was told it should be ready before the end of this month.

I've been waiting over 20 weeks for mine.

This is ridiculous. I'll never buy another Ft Turner tomahawk.

I've even asked for my money back, and no response. I figure if you can't produce the product at least return the money??? And the site still says "delivery at this time is about 8 weeks out." Guess I might have to go up there...
