RANK your favorite National Parks

I like them all...as sheeple bait! they are called parks because that is where you park your RV.
It is a shame how over-developed some of the NPs are, but it attracts more tourists away from genuine wilderness.
I still visit some of them if they have something to offer that you can't find somewhere else.

Only 10% of park visitors ever go more than a mile on a park trail.

Go on a weekday and the hordes diminish.

When I worked in Zion I could be out all day and never see anyone. Same for Rocky Mtn. The key to a solitary NP experience is not going where everyone else goes.

I really hate crowds and running into other people in general. But I can say I never felt there were too many people in any of the backcountry areas of the parks.

I've spent an entire week in Yellowstone, which I believe is the busiest park there is, and seen fewer than 10 people. I've gone more than an entire day without seeing anyone, even on designated trails. You just have to go to the right places. Obviously this won't happen at Old Faithful, but try the NW corner hiking in from the National Forests and you'll have it nearly to yourself (as long as a few grizzlies don't bother you:eek:).

1. Rocky Mountain NP
2. Yellowstone
3. Glacier

But to be fair I only spent three days in Glacier...where I've spent weeks in Yellowstone and a Full Month in RMNP.

Grand Canyon
Rocky Mountain
Yellowstone/Teton
Zion
Bryce
Arches

Most are around where I live, so I get more exposure to them, although, I'll take any sort of wilderness ;)
