I didn't know that Spyderco was trying out a lock like this. I have a Puma folding hunter with a similar locking mechanism. I like to hand it to someone and just watch their frustration when they try to figure out how to release the lock.
 
It looks like a SS Meerkat. Is this the Meerkat prototype? The Meerkat is now discontinued so it had a short life. i can't imagine this not selling for a good price considering what some spydercos sell for that were actually in production. I wouldn't buy it since I am a collector/user and not a pure collector but it is an interesting little knife I guess.
 
Yes, but I should think that the fact that the head Soyder has vouched for it would have a very positive influence on any future sale price. I wonder if the owner would be able to link to this thread or to quote Sal if he were to offer it again.
