Rare 112 Aurum Etched Blades

Tin Sue / DarrylS / bucksway / ItsTooEarly hee hee hee
wow it is neat seeing you guys slobber and drooling
all over those 112 blades!

I havent had any success contacting anyone who can do this sort of work yet, Ive tried to contact Leroy on Leroy@Triple-R-Knives.com but it comes back as a failure notice and that he is unreachable, does anyone know of anyone else who might be able to help have these these blades into knives?
Regards Tim

...Don't give up on Leroy Tim...He's been out of town to attend the BCCI Twentieth Anniversary celebration up in Post Falls. Give him a call or email this week and wait for his reply...Great blades deserve a great man workin' on 'em...:)

Here is his signature and few other things I have from Samuel Shortes the founder of Aurum to vouch for authenticity of the blades i showed in post. I also have other signed doc on items coming from him.

Here is link with info on him

In the USA what you have appeals to the most advanced Buck collectors Tim....I'm glad your taking care to keep all the supporting paper work...Are you a Buck collector ? Or knives in general ? If not there are MANY on this forum and in the BCCI who would be glad to 'help you out' !!!!!! Thanks for posting such nice pics! How about a clue as to whats comming next....

Thanks Buckway, Yes I am a collector also but it has been mostly Schrades and a few bucks which led me to Aurums, Sam appears to like Buck knives much more than Schrades for a number of reasons so that has influenced me.

I have showed on previous page all the the Buck Aurums that I have. I have duplicates of the proto 110 Deer and proto 110 Buck, I will make those 2 available to USA. Although I cant yet because Im waiting for authenticating paperwork from Sam. I wish i had more to offer but I do treasure them as Sam is a good friend.

He is not sending anymore. I still havent had any luck getting these 112 blades put into handles, hopefully Ill be able to contact someone who can help eventually, I dont need all the duplicate duck 112 blades either.

All of you Buck 110 collectors are very lucky that you have more Aurums available on ebay in the 110 that in any other make I have seen, Aurum sold much of the technology to Buck and help set up there etching operations before Aurums closure, still there are quite a few original buck Aurums around to pick up, also keep an eye under "engraved knives" in search engine as a few appear there occasionally also.

I just dont think there is any knife nicer than Aurum 110s and 112s. They are nice knives even without any fine artwork on them. These are 110 blades keep in mind that these are normally only around 4 inches long not these enormous proportions, still the detail isnt bad even magnified many times such as here.

Hello Tim,
Looks like one of your emails landed in my inbox. I'm not sure why none have made it to me before. Everyday I check my spam folder for emails that were wrongly flagged as spam so it did not go there. One thing to keep in mind though, if I find an email in my spam folder and the subject line is blank or not knife specific, I dont open it. I'm not saying this applies to you...just an FYI :)

So on to business...what cool looking blades and knives Tim!!!:D
Our normal response to this type of request is to deny it but since you have documentation and it is a rather unique situation, we can make an exception.
I will respond to your email with details.

Thanks all, I feel welcome here amoung you all since I first posted, you are a friendly lot, its shame i didnt spent a bit more time here when i first started collecting or I might have purchased many more Buck knives.

Thanks Joe I hope my email today made it to you, thanks for making an exception, Sam says that Buck knives are the most ethical people he has dealt with. That goes along way with me.

Here are a couple of photos of Sam one photo is when He was younger presenting one of his knives to President Ronald Reagon and a more recent one. Hes in his 70s now.

Unfortunately these are the only other Buck knives I have, the three on the right hand side. They are very nice though. Please excuse the Schrades its the Bucks I wanted to show, just gives an idea of how i like to display them.

hay Tim...
we never mind seeing other quaity knives here!!!
i likes them three 110's there esp that David Yellowhorse!
i have one by him also with jest the texture on the bolster and blade..
one of these days i will send him one to do some work in the scales also ..
Silver with blue lapis and white ivory might go together...

I really don't think the 110 is a Dave Yellowhorse edition; it just doesn't look like anything else he has ever done, but is possible. The Schrade "elk" on the left, on the other hand, is right on.
