That one was a real dissapointment I thought it was a German damascus but I discovered on bladesforum that it was made by a US company I forget which one, not that i have any problem with US and it is still high quality its just not German damascus as originally thought, Weidmannsheil were a German company to the best of my knowledge they closed in the early 90s becuase they would not compromise their quality.
I really don't think the 110 is a Dave Yellowhorse edition;
Yes I like the scrolling on the Schrade bolsters also it really suits the knife. I havent purchased a Buck 110 yet with engraved bolsters, I havent been able to find one I like as yet but who knows with time I may be able to find one.

Your German knife is German by any standard I understand. Weidmannsheil closed in 1991 but in 2001 Bulldog bought the contents of the factory and decided to assemble any knives they could from the leftover parts. All Bulldog did was put the premade parts together. This has lead to some strange knives. We saw a bunch that had Weidmannsheil misspelled on the blade. I am sure that the old German company would have not used these blades but Bulldog floggedm, no problem.
